Steel that is shaped by passing through one or more molds at room temperature is referred to as “Cold Drawn Steel” or “Transmission Steel.” The cold drawing process aims to increase the yield and tensile strength of the material without the need for thermal processing.
When it is necessary to improve the mechanical properties of hot-rolled sheets solely by reducing their thickness, rolling is performed at room temperature instead of drawing. These types of materials are referred to as cold-rolled steel.
